We stand proudly beside the 27,166 fire departments and their families, fostering strength, connection, and resilience. Through vital resources, comprehensive training, and a safe space, we empower those who serve to heal, grow, and thrive.

The United States Fire Department Reserve Corps: Mental Health Services Command, (USFDRC: MHSC) actively participates in the Nation’s All-Hazards National Mutual Aid System and is registered with the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). EMAC facilitates interstate sharing of personnel, equipment, and resources during emergencies and disasters.

NOTE: As of January 2024, the U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Department Registry reported 27,166 registered fire departments across the United States. This registry is voluntary and may not encompass every fire department nationwide. Below is a breakdown of the number of registered fire departments by state:
