The United States Fire Department Reserve Corps: Chaplaincy Services Command (USFDRC: CSC) exists to provide compassionate, professional, and mission-ready spiritual care in support of those who serve and protect our nation. Grounded in faith, presence, and service, the CSC operates across operational, emergency, and humanitarian environments to offer guidance, comfort, and moral support during times of routine duty, crisis, and recovery.
Chaplains are expected to observe the distinctive doctrines of their own faith while honoring the rights of others to observe theirs. The USFDRC serves in a pluralistic environment. Rabbis, ministers, imams, priests, and other endorsed clergy may serve with conviction while also ensuring that personnel of other faiths or of no faith have the means to exercise their beliefs in accordance with United States law.
Chaplains advise commanders to help protect the free exercise rights of all, coordinate support when another faith representative is needed, and remain steadfast in ethical, respectful, and mission-ready spiritual care.
